Wale is a Musician, Singer and Songwriter based in the Philadelphia Main Line. As a founding member of Caya Sol Reggae Band and a Solo Artist, Wale delivers inspiring and positive roots, reggae and soul music to the world.

Born in Nigeria, West Africa, Wale discovered at an early age his love and passion for music when he started playing piano in boarding school and in church. Exposed to various musical heavy weights by his parents, Wale grew up listening to the likes of Bob Marley, James Brown, Marvin Gaye and Don Williams at an early age.

Further inspired by his African musical heritage, the soundtrack of Wale’s early life were the sonic musings of Fela Kuti, King Sunny Ade and Ebenezer Obey.

Wale’s musical palette expanded when he spent his teenage years in Europe (The Netherlands.) He discovered newer and diverse musical genres like techno, dance, European pop, American Hip Hop and R&B.

Wale moved to the US for schooling and was further exposed to Blues and Gospel which he added to his musical rolodex. It was after emigrating to the US that Wale began playing live music in a band setting across the US. Having played various festivals in Arizona, Las Vegas, California, Philadelphia, Delaware, New Jersey and Maryland, you can often find Wale on a plane or in an airport traveling for work or to a show.

Wale launched his Solo career in 2024 after working on various projects for others. Leveraging his broad musical pedigree, Wale infuses all elements of musicality in his projects merging deep thoughtful lyrics with sophisticated musicality. He is a musician's singer and a singer's musician…think about it :)
